AS we all familiar with plants ,still we can see the different types of the plants around us some of them are long, others are short and so many types are there. so if we see the simplest form of a plant we can give the example of green algae as it is simplest unicellular plant like VOLVOX.next if we go towards the devlopment we can see the developed form like MOSSES,more we can take HERB ,they are tiny green plant they complete their life cycle under one year, like marigold,SHRUBS they are some taller than herbs, they have life span more than one year ,there bark is developed and they are less developed than trees like china rose,TREES are the totally developed plants ,they show a well developed wood ,their life span is longer till many years ,they are taller than shrubs, like A MANGO TREE or A BANYAN TREE.every plant body has two part underground part and aereal part.in underground part roots are spreaded at aereal part SHOOT is situated .we can also discrimiate it according to its appendages like .stem .flower and leaf .now it is clear from the above illustration that each plant is having two part ROOT AND SHOOT. TYPES OF ROOTS- there are majorly two types of roots 1) TAP ROOT 2) ADVENTITIOUS ROOT ROOTS play a very important role like 1)holding the plant 2) absorption and transportation of water and mineral 3)storageof food 4) nitrogen fixation many roots like redish, carrot, beet are eaten and they are beneficial to increase blood and improve digestion as well. SHOOT- shoot is the main part of the plant body it can be devided in the folowing parts 1) STEM - IT is the erect green part of the plant it is divided into branches which usually bears leaves. 2)LEAF- the green appendeges of a plant usually directed towards light and responsible for photosynthesis and transpiration process. 3)FRUIT-These are the roundes ,juicy outgrowth at the ends of stem ,emerged out from flower.
many stems having an outermost dry covering it is called BARK this is also useful part of any plant.for example the bark of AZADIRACTA INDICA commonly known as NEEM is uased to cure skin disease like pimples and itching .leaves of many plants are very useful as they provide health and increase taste of food .for example leaves of OSIMUM SANCTUM which is commnly known asTULSI are used to cure cough and cold and also taken as a herbal tea .also it is useful to cure viral fever and becterial infection by chewing its leaves or taken orally with water.
FRUITS- fruits of a plant is an outgrowing strucure which usually develops from flower and it is situated either at the end of a stem or between the branches. many fruits are useful in the recovery of diseases as well for example fruit of AMBLICA or amla is eaten to improve digestive process and also it the best source of vitamin C and calcium it is an antioxident as well. 4)FLOWER- flower is a colourful and beautiful structure of a plant it usually grows out at the end of the stem or in between its branches.it give rise fruits after pollination.
there are two types of flower arise on a plant -
SOME flowers are BISEXUAL MEANS THEY BEAR BOTH MALE AND FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE PARTS INSIDE A SINGLE FLOWER. whereas in unisexual flower male flower bears male reproductive parts only ,and a female flower bears female reproductive parts .
the colourful leaves of a flower are known as PETAL AND ALL TOGETHER COROLLA. flowers like ROSE AND MARIGOLD ARE USED TO PREPARE MEDICINES AS WELL AS DECORATION .
